Moving Into the Kitchen

All the cabinets are in and I am putting in shelf liner!

I chose printed vinyl from Jo-Ann’s and am using spray glue to hold it in place.  I really like the look.  It’s fun to open the boxes of kitchen items I haven’t seen since  April.

I’m really liking the glass front doors on this cabinet.  It’s the only glass we put in since most of our stuff is useful but not pretty.

My favorite cabinet so far!

We still need countertops, a sink, crown moulding, and baseboard trim, but for now–it’s such an improvement.

Hi Angela, I’ve been following you religiously since The Nester featured you on her blog. I’ve learned so much from your archives. I’m really looking forward to the kitchen reveal. The cabinets look beautiful!

Printed vinyl from joanns…..like the vinyl that comes on the big rolls in the home decor department? I hate using contact paper to line drawers & shelves. It’s a massive pain to work with!

Yep, that stuff. It was easir to work with than contact paper and feels stronger too. I love it so far, but only time will tell.

The vinyl idea is about the greatest idea I’ve ever heard. But what about the spray glue? Never worked with this before, do you know if it removes easily? I live in an apt. and don’t want them to kill me.

      Carolyn,
It does leave a slightly sticky residue, but no more than contact paper does. They vinyl peels right up when you are done with it.
