Straining Yogurt

Here’s a quick video I filmed of straining the yogurt I made in my slow cooker. Since I made the yogurt during the day. I refrigerated it overnight. It still strained, but slower and a lot less whey came off then when I strained it warm. You can click here to get the slow cooker yogurt instructions.

Do you have an old post or any advice for flavoring your yogurt. We really like vanilla yogurt around here. Is it as simple as just adding a little vanilla extract or is there a tastier way?

I use stevia drops. 3-5 drops does great for a cup of yogurt. My favorite flavors are chocolate and vanilla. I also use pure cocoa poweder (1 T per cup) and like to fold in whipped cream as a treat.

I can’t find these flavored stevia drops in any of my local grocery stores. Am I not looking in the right place, or do you think they are just hard to come by?
