I usually put a wee bit of sugar in my bread when I make it. If I have a wee bit of home made jam or jelly I put it in my bread dough instead of sugar. Love it!

OOOOO Fresh bread. Is there anything better?? I just received a grain mill and have made our first loaf of bread with freshly milled wheat. How fabulous. It wasn’t even a brick!! I’d love to learn more. This book sounds like a good place to start. Thanks Angela for your group!

  17. MarDee says:

I also love to make bread. When I make home made bread we love to eat it with dinner just out of the oven with butter. Would love to win this book.

  18. Maryanne Lindsay says:

I was just thinking that making my own bread might be interesting and —although probably not more frugal on a $ basis but healthier for my family and give us more “control” over the nutrients going into our children’s bodies. Sometimes when we start thinking about less spending and being more frugal, it can mean “cheaper”, more processed, and many times fast food from the chains. The worst!
I’d love to find more whole grain recipes with natural and great tasting additives.
